My
name is Heidi Viborg, I am the owner of Dobergaarden Forever
Athos.
Athos was born on January 27th, 2009 in Denmark at
Dobergaarden Forever Kennel v/ Hanne Lundahl.
Prior to Athos’
birth I visited Hanne’s Kennel and was very impressed with
the way she took care of her dogs.
She explained to
me why she had selected Fedor del Nasi as sire and Lola di
Altobello as dam of the litter.
I told her I
wanted a big, black, powerful male for work and shows, so we
agreed that I would have my pick of black males upon their
birth.
On January 27th,
2009 Lola gave birth to 9 healthy puppies, 2 black males, 1
brown male, 4 black females, and 2 brown females.
I visited them for
the first time when they were 2 weeks old, they all looked
so fine but I already had my favorite from the beginning….
The yellow-collared male.
Hanne and I agreed
to wait until the puppies were 5 weeks old to make my final
choice.
Hanne’s friend
Dejan Malbasa from the Altobello Kennel in Serbia offered
his advice on which puppy would be good for me.
The day finally
arrived and I was very excited, I already had my favorite
since I had been going to Hanne’s kennel every Sunday to
spend time with the puppies.
Both Hanne and
Dejan agreed that the yellow-collared male would be the best
choice for me, which made me very happy since he already was
my first choice.
Hanne told me I
had to pick a name starting with the letter “A” for my
puppy, so from that day on we started to call the
yellow-collared name Athos.
When Athos reached
8 weeks it was finally time for me to bring him home, I live
in a small town called Grumstrup, close to Århus, Denmark.
Ever since he came
home he’s been following me everywhere I go, to the
construction market where I work, to visit my family, and
all sorts of different places in order to socialize him as
much as possible.
I also started
training him for show through food and toys. Everyday Athos
grew more and more and it was very interesting for me as I
was constantly learning.
Soon it was time
for our first show, Athos won 1st place, and became best
puppy of the day.
Soon enough it was
time for Athos to make history, he became the IDC Puppy
Sieger at the IDC Show 2009 in Hungary, the most prestigious
Dobermann show in the world.
Athos has just
passed ZTP Breeding Evaluation whit V1A in Budapest
under Judge Thomas Becht, led by Milan Ognjenovic from
Alfa Dog - Serbia, and is now return back to me and my
family in Denmark, we will continue training for IPO1
and show training to ensure continuous success in the
show ring.
Athos is
availabel for mating, please contact me if you are
interested.
